SMC Strong Small Business Grants for Child Care Centers

Do you run a for-profit child care center in San Mateo County whose annual revenue is less than $2.5M? Have you been open for at least a year? 

You may be eligible to receive assistance from the SMC Strong Small Business Grant Program. For more information, visit The San Mateo County Strong Fund. The application opens on Monday, April 27 at 12pm and funds will be distributed on a first- come-first-served basis. 

You will need electronic copies of the following: 

  • current business license for your city/jurisdiction (not required for

  • centers in unincorporated San Mateo County)

  • Center license from the Department of Social Services

  • Profit & loss statement for the period since March 1, 2019 (displayed by month)

  • Recent utility bill

  • Proof of rent/mortgage payments

  • Proof of healthcare premium payments

  • Q1 2020 payroll report by employee

  • IRS forms 941 for 2019

  • Most recent federal business tax return

  • A list of other COVID-19 assistance programs to which you have applied and for how much (this is NOT disqualifying)
