Join a dynamic cohort of preschool and TK teachers to investigate best practices related to inclusion and using the California Foundations and Frameworks.

Through the lens of Universal Design for Learning, teachers will explore a wide range of methods and strategies to include all children in developmentally appropriate learning opportunities in an inclusive manner. This professional development opportunity, hosted by the Alameda County Office of Education’s CORE Learning Team, is for teachers who have a deep knowledge in the California Foundation and Frameworks.

In eight sessions, teachers will learn about best practices for teaching children with different learning styles, strengths and/or who need additional support.

Topics will include:

  • Principles of Inclusion

  • Family and Culture

  • Self-Regulation

  • Communication

  • Dual Language Learning

  • Visual and Performing Arts.

The 8 session series will take place monthly, starting in September 2019 and running through May 2020 (with the exception of December). There is no cost to the participant and dinner will be provided.
